About Dan

For 30 years I’ve helped others find work and life balance, and bring passion into their lives, previously as a psychiatrist and more recently as a physician executive coach.

I support clients in confronting many of the challenges that I’ve encountered: finding balance between work and family commitments, fitness, and personal health; adjusting to disruptive healthcare reform, leadership challenges, and difficult patients and colleagues; coping with fatigue and despair over the loss of idealized medicine…and coping with isolation during difficult decisions.

My coaching is conducted initially during face-to-face-meetings and subsequently via convenient confidential telephone sessions.

Face-to-face meetings consist of 3 phases:
Discovery, Planning, and Implementation of coaching

The coaching experience fosters refreshingly honest and deep conversations to create an action plan to which I hold you accountable.

I will provide you with
:

  • A COLLABORATIVE SOUNDING BOARD
  • DEEP CONVERSATIONS
  • EXPLORATION of your LEADERSHIP STYLE, GOALS, and VISION
  • PLAN of ACTION
  • ACCOUNTABILITY

Benefits of Physician Coaching include
:

  • IMPROVED WORKPLACE COMMUNICATION with PATIENTS, COLLEAGUES, and STAFF
  • REDUCED STRESS and BURNOUT
  • REDUCED ISOLATION
  • CLARITY of DIRECTION
  • IMPROVED LEADERSHIP SKILLS
